Jose Manuel Cruz Matta Cruz aka Ney was born in Santiago on September 18, 1953 being his teachers Yoryi Morel, Jacinto Dominguez, Mario Grullon and Cuquito Pena, as well as Guillo Perez, Candido Bido and others in the National School of Fine Arts Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.
